La Sommeliere filly is a lovely individual bred by John Clapham from the family of super gallopers Callarmaster, Intransigent and G1 VRC Derby, Wellington Cup winner Second Coming who placed third in the 2000 Melbourne Cup behind Brew. She is also the half-sister to handy stable galloper Iffshecan.
Her sire Preferment is by Zabeel and won the G1 VRC Derby, he is also the sire of St Leger winner Dunwoody.
This filly is a nice complement to Renovations, she will take a little more time, being from a staying family but will develop into a nice 3YO.
She is raced on lease from her breeder who retains a small interest in the filly. No lease fee is payable for this filly.
